Friends of Wilson Ponds recently awarded Franklin C. McIver Scholarships to Dale Turner of Greenville and Graceanne Brinkworth of Hampden and Shirley Mills to attend the Teen Wilderness Expedition.

Turner reports that he enjoys hunting, fishing, riding his skateboard and biking, skiing, snowboarding, camping and playing soccer and basketball. Brinkworth writes that she is excited to have an opportunity to fish, to learn about map reading with a compass, to walk on trails and to have time around a campfire getting to know other people who are interested in wildlife and the Maine woods.
