On April 26 the Dexter girls finished fifth among six schools during a Penobscot Valley Conference meet at Bucksport. The Tigers scored 32 points.

Senior Danielle Cummings won the long jump by more than 21 inches at a distance of 14 feet, 16 inches.

Cummings also came in second in the 100 at 13.71 seconds. She anchored the fourth-place 4×100 relay team as freshmen Molly Bennett and Aliviah Anderson, junior Erin Bache and Cummings combined for a time of 61.75 seconds.

Bache placed second in the high jump by clearing the bar at 4-04. Anderson finished fifth in the long jump at 11-08.25.

In the boys’ meet, Dexter ended the day sixth of six teams with a score of five points.

Freshman Miles Gadwah came in fifth in the 110 hurdles and sixth in the 300 hurdles at 22.06 and 59.79 seconds respectively.

Sophomore Michael Gadwah placed sixth in the 110 hurdles at 22.89 seconds. Coming in sixth in the high jump was junior Ryan Boisvert at 4-06.

On April 29 the Penquis girls traveled to Hampden Academy and the Patriots’ 32 points placed the team sixth among 10 schools.

Senior Cymeria Robshaw on the 100 and long and triple jumps.

Robshaw’s time of 13.42 seconds gave her first place by more than a quarter second. She had a distance of 17-09 in the long jump to earn top honors by over two feet. At 34-03.25 Robshaw came in first in the triple jump by more than 4 feet.

Penquis senior Camryn Rolfe added a pair of points in the 800 as she was fifth at 2:57.31.

The Penquis boys picked up six points to finish seventh among eight programs scoring at the meet.

Freshman Caden Cyr had a fourth-place leap in the long jump at a distance of 18-03. Sophomore Will Waterhouse came in fifth in the 100 at 12.42 seconds.
