DEXTER — Ed Hummel, retired meteorologist now living in Garland and a supporter of Dexter Dover Area Towns in Transition (DDATT), will once again present an overall look at how weather works on the planet, how it’s been changing recently, and implications for the area. This free public workshop is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday Nov. 10 at the Abbott Memorial Library.

Weather is increasingly on people’s’ minds as more and more frequent and powerful storms spread across the globe, and this workshop will explain the basics of atmospheric processes as well as getting into details about how a warming planet changes what we have come to regard as “normal.”

DDATT’s mission is to help move local communities into higher levels of self-control, knowledge, and independence. The more we share what we know, the stronger we’ll be.

For more information on DDATT and future events, email info@ddatt.org to get on email news list or call 277-4221 or 924-3836.
