MILO — The 2018 Color Milo Run/Walk will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, rain or shine. The start/finish for Color Milo 2018 will be at the Milo Elementary School parking lot, 18 Belmont Street. This is not a timed event or a race.

Registration/check in starts at 8 a.m. for early birds and at 10 a.m. the event kicks off. There will be four color stations — one at about each half mile of the route. The final color station will be at the finish line. All participants and volunteers must fill out an entry form and sign the event waiver. The color used is biodegradable but meant to stain so please, wear clothing that you don’t mind being stained.

Come in your craziest outfits, fun hats, colored socks, tutus, etc. The photo station will be set up again this year. We encourage people to take before and after pics in front of the Color Milo banner and to share your favorites with your family and friends and on Facebook. Preregistration assures your participation and a T-shirt in the size you want. The registration fee is $20 per person and includes a gift bag for each participant containing a Color Milo T-shirt, wristband, sunglasses, route map and an individual size packet of color. The event participation will be capped at 300 again this year so be sure to preregister to assure your participation.

Entry/registration forms and waivers are also available in the lobby of the Milo Town Hall and on the Color Milo Facebook pages (you will need to scroll down to locate it). You can also print them from TRC’s Color Milo event page. Payment and pre-registration forms will need to be received by Sept. 28 and can be mailed to: Milo Events Committee, c/o Ricky Bradeen, 6 Pleasant Street, Milo ME 04463. You can register the day of the event, but it will be first come-first served for T-shirt sizes. Once we get 300 participants, registration will be closed.

There will be light refreshments after the event: popcorn, cupcakes, water, and soda. We welcome volunteers for this event also. If you’d like to volunteer or need more information, please contact Ricky at 943-3994.
