She was the daughter of the late Guy and Isabella Brown. She attended Monson Academy. Joyce was a wonderful cook, enjoyed sewing, puzzles, intelligent political discussions, and was an avid reader. Special thanks to family friend Renee Sheppo for aiding in Joyce’s end of life care. Joyce is predeceased by her brothers Robert, George, Gilbert, Clayton, and Donald Brown. Her surviving siblings agreed on one poignant fact; “Joyce was the feistiest of us all (nine Browns)”. A committal service will be held at 3pm Saturday, the 11th of August, 2018 in Monson at Hillside Cemetery, with a gathering of family and friends at the Abbot Town Hall immediately following. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any local Hospice organization.
