LEGISLATORS RECOGNIZE THE MOST VALUABLE COACH — Sen. Paul Davis, R-Piscataquis (pictured right) and Rep. Norm Higgins, I-Dover-Foxcroft had the honor of congratulating Foxcroft Academy boys soccer and wrestling head coach Luis Ayala at a school assembly on Nov. 11 where Ayala was formally recognized as the U.S. Cellular Most Valuable Coach. As an award recipient, Ayala received a check for $50,000 which went to the school’s athletic department. Ayala was one of thousands of nominees in U.S. Cellular’s Most Valuable Coach, which is designed to recognize high school coaches based on their leadership qualities and the positive impact they have on their teams and their communities. The Most Valuable Coach Award is selected by online public voting and a panel of judges.
